Southern California is gearing up for a weekend of fire danger as a red flag warning is in effect through Friday and tens of thousands of homes could be cut off from power because of hot, dry conditions in the San Gabriel Valley and other parts of the state. We have record temperatures and a high risk of wildfires in Southern California, according to the National Weather Service.

The following cities in Riverside County are located in the California desert and are located in the Southern California region.
