
Experience the magic of Broadway a little closer to home in the Fox Performing Arts Center, home to the annual production of Broadway in Riverside. The 2010-2011 season will offer laughs, music, dance and much more.
The Fox Center is located in the historic Mission Inn area of downtown Riverside. The Center and the area is rich in history, tradition and celebration for the culture and community that has made Riverside what it is today. Visitors will enjoy a newly renovated 1,600-seat theater that captures the original grandeur of the first Fox 1929 building.
The 2010-2011 season performance dates are as follows:
The Color Purple, October 29-31, 2010. Based on the classic Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Alice Walker, The Color Purple is an inspiring musical about a woman named Celie as she finds her way in the world.
Monty Python’s Spamalot, January 28-30, 2011. This outrageous musical comedy tells the story of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they search for the Holy Grail. This show will keep you laughing with tons of humor, flying cows, killer rabbits and foot-stomping beats.
Legally Blonde, The Musical, March 18-20, 2011. Prepare to be entertained as everyone’s favorite blonde sorority sister, Elle Woods leaves her life at Delta Nu and heads to Harvard Law School. After her boyfriend dumps her for a more serious girl, Elle vows to show him that she can be serious too by going to Harvard. Along the way, she’ll discover that staying true to herself is more important than a bad relationship.
Burn The Floor, May 20-22, 2011. Dance, dance and more dance! This spicy hot ballroom dance show spectacular will dazzle you with more than 20 champion dancers in this theatrical performance. You’ll see everything from Harlem’s hot nights, Salsa and Rumba to the Waltz, Cha Cha and more.
